St. Perpetua Catholic Church is nestled among the lakes and trees of Waterford Township. With nearly 800 registered families, our age and make-up varies.
Weare younger, older, and middle-aged.
Weare singles, couples, young families,
and retired. All of us make our diverse
parish family.
We cordially invite you to join the action
and become an active member of our parish. Casual visitors are always welcome. Join us as we do God's work together, striving to grow in wisdom and grace.
We, the people of St. Perpetua Parish of Waterford, serve the needs of one another by forming an active community to
continue God's work. Our parish family believes in the Christian principles of
family life, social justice, ecumenical activity, spiritual growth, and Catholic Education.
Reaching out to young and old alike, we strive to keep alive our rich tradition of active faith, revealing to others the love which God has shown us.
The record of the passion of St. Perpetua, St. Felicity, and their companions is one of the greatest hagiological treasures that has come down to us. In the fourth century, these acts were publicly read in the churches of Africa and were so highly esteemed, St. Augustine found it necessary to issue a protest against their being revered to the same degree as the Holy Scriptures. In them, we have preserved for us the actual words of St. Perpetua herself.
