The Parish Council is the leadership body in the Parish. Rooted in prayer, involved in study, reflection and sharing, open to dialogue, and attentive to the promptings of the Spirit, our Council is a consultative body to Fr. Jack Baker and the coordinating and unifying structure of the Parish.
Our 12-member Parish Council develops Christian relationships of charity, energizes the Parish for worship and service, and constantly renews efforts to work for a reign of justice, truth and love.
The basic purpose of our Parish Council is to set the broad direction for the Parish based on objectives and goals stemming from our Mission Statement. The four commissions (Christian Service, Education, Stewardship and Worship), various organizations, clubs, societies and groups relate directly to the Council because it serves as the coordinating and unifying body providing encouragement and support for the Parish as a whole.

* Meet the 1st Monday of months Sept - June, 7pm
* What do we do? Our needy neighbors call the parish office, 248-682-6431.
Jane screens the calls; IF the client lives in St Perpetua's parish boundries, she calls a member who arranges a home visit, along with another member.
*How are we supported? The poor boxes in the vestibule of the church are our main means of income.
Also, VG community points; personal contributions; this spring we had our first church-wide donation drive.
*How can you donate? A check made out to : St Perpetua's St Vincent DePaul and dropped in the poor box, or the Sunday collection would be good.
Also: upon the death of a family member, would you consider donations be made to St Perpetua's St Vincent DePaul in lieu of flowers? We have envelopes for that purpose.

This group promotes the right to life by alerting parishioners to workshops, seminars and opportunities to reflect upon the teachings of the church and providing encouragement and conviction toward the Catholic Church's position on the right to life. This group meets about four times a year to assist persons whose lives seem in any way endangered, such as the unborn and the elderly. This group also sponsors a clothing drive each Spring and Fall.
