A Catholic women's Bible study, Walking with Purpose meets women right where they are, hands them a cup of coffee, and transforms their hearts.
W
e are thrilled to announce that we will offer the introductory Bible study, Opening Your Heart: The Starting Point, this 2024-25 season at St. Perpetua. Opening Your Heart is the introductory study suggested by Walking With Purpose, regardless of your previous experience with Bible study. This Bible study will take you on an exciting journey closer to the heart of God, help you form a personal relationship with Christ, and help you find answers to life's biggest questions through the context of the Catholic faith.
Opening Your Heart will help us answer many fundamental questions all women deal with, such as:- Who is Jesus Christ?
- How and why should I pray?
- Who is the Holy Spirit?
while also unpacking the importance of identifying key priorities to help you identify your deeper purpose and passion.Trust us. This may be your best YES ever!

There is a $15 registration fee for participating in the St. Perpetua Opening Your Heart Bible study for the 2024-25 season. This fee covers the cost of registration materials, hospitality and other expenses associated with the cost of bringing the program to the parish.
If you would like to order your study guide as part of your registration, the cost of the study guide is $45. We hope to save you some money on shipping costs by placing a bulk order for all interested in doing this study opportunity. Simply indicate on your registration form that you would like to order your book with the parish order and add the $45 to your fee (making it $60 to register).
If you would rather purchase your study guide on your own, you may do so by clicking the link below and ordering from the Walking with Purpose website.

Payment can be made electronically by Venmo, check made payable to St. Perpetua, or cash. Please see the registration form for complete details about payment. Registration is not complete unless payment is received.
If you would prefer a paper registration form, please click on the button below. You will need to mail payment with a check made out to St. Perpetua to the address provided on the form.

Our Walking With Purpose Bible study, Opening Your Heart, will be meeting on Saturday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the St. Perpetua Social Hall beginning Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Opening Your Heart is a 22-week study that will conclude in early April 2025. We will have breaks during this time, including a longer break during November & December for the holidays.

Walking with Purpose is an organization that strives to develop and deliver Catholic Bible studies to reach adult women, young adult women, and girls.
In 2002, Lisa Brenninkmeyer, a convert to Catholicism, realized there were not many relevant Bible studies to meet the needs of Catholic women, so she started a weekly study at her local parish in Maryland. It grew quickly and in 2008, she founded Walking with Purpose and made it a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Today, Walking with Purpose is active in over 600 parishes throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
All Walking with Purpose Bible studies have the following characteristics:- Present practical Biblical teachings consistent with Church doctrine;
- Use the Catechism of the Catholic Church as an additional resource;
- Have received an imprimatur.
